Knowledge About Birth Control Is Valuable
As I stroll over to the health center at the community college I go to, I see a variety of brochures about health and sex education. I walk up to the receptionist, with a soft shy voice I say, “May I please get some condoms and some brochures on birth control? ... I believe birth control should be distributed in school health centers. Many people are saying that students are going to have more sex and that there are many health risks in using birth control. However, students will be educated about birth control, they will prevent the risk of getting pregnant, and will reduce the risk of getting any sexual transmitted diseases (STDs). Education about birth control in schools is very important to our society these days. ... They hear other teen’s gossip about having sex so they go ahead and have sex too and they also think it’s a very grown-up thing to do.
