The Warring States period is China's classical Golden Age of thought and political achievement. To imagine myself to be living in the Warring States period in China, I would appeal to Confucianism. In that period, Confucian ideas were spread among people and passed by three most influential people, who were Confucius, Mencius, and Xunzi. They traveled from states to state to teach their philosophy that was edited into Analects later on. Confucius did not create new things, but he said his duty is to hand down old good knowledge and customs. In his eyes, the wise rulers should have enough humanity and righteousness to gather the people in their domain and to rule without weapons and punishments.
