Journey to Disillusion

Journey to Disillusion Throughout history America has been a destination for many people from all corners of the world, although the reasons for their arrivals differ for each group. Masses of people have made long and perilous journeys in hopes to find political or religious freedom. Others have come to escape the economic hardships of their homeland. Some have even arrived here by the forced immigration system of slavery. The painful decision these immigrants must make to leave their homelands is evidence enough that America is viewed as a promised land, but is this promise being fulfilled? After Spain had invested , with much success, in its conquests of the New World, it did not take long for the jealousy of England and France to drive them to stake their own claim in the New World.
