Chartism
Chartism During the economic depression of 1837-38, the Chartist Movement was formed (“Chartism”). ... Eventually all six points articulated within the Charter, with the exception of annual Parliaments, were secured (“Chartism”). Chartism began as a very local movement and became more and more powerful as it moved more into a national level. It gathered local criticisms by people of the current system and united them in a nation-wide movement for justice (The Local Background of Chartism 2).
