Open Source Software By: Chris Gallagher Open source software, better known as “Free Software” allows a computer programmer to freely change the source code and distribute it free of charge. To do this, you have to have knowledge in computer programming software such as Microsoft C++ and Microsoft Visual Basic. The word “Free Software” does not mean that the software is free; it was a marketing plan to get people interested in a particular software.
