Ph104 E Assume that you are a lawyer. While working on a case, you encounter a conflict between what is legal and what is moral. In other words, you are legally permitted to do an act that is however immoral. Using Kant as your guide, would you go for what is legal, or for what is moral? Explain your answer. What am I to do in a moral situation? Perform my duty. When a situation whereby a conflict between what is legal and what is moral arises, I would opt for what is legal. As a lawyer, performing my legal duty will be my maxim. I took an oath. An oath, which tells me that, my duty would be to represent and defend my client and I am bound by it.
