“Home Song” In the novel “Home Song” by LaVyrle Spencer, the main character Tom Gardner shows to be a responsible man. For example, he responded adequately to his responsibility as father when he found out that he had a grown-up child as a result of a one night stand as a teenager. Tom is very loving with the two children living with him and his wife, Claire. Tom also looks at life in a positive way, instead of thinking that his life would have shut down at the notice of Ken, his child, he looked at it in a positive manner. He started thinking that he would do the best possible to start a father-son relationship with Ken.
