Terrorism Since the terrible events of September 11, 2001, with the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the subject of terrorism has exploded all over the world. ... Bush has declared a war against terrorism. The United States and other countries have been directed toward ending terrorism in America and around the world. However, before all chaos breaks loose, we need to be clear about what exactly terrorism is. The word terrorism can be defined in many different ways; it’s often confusing to many people about what the word actually means. At a time like this, when our country is at war against terrorism, knowing what it is, is important. A definition that is clearly superior to any other definition of this word, is the definition that “terrorism is the deliberate, premeditated, attack and or threatening of innocent people by any individual or group to create intimidation and fear in order to gain a political advantage, rights or say in government, financial profit, religious freedoms, seeking revenge, and standing up for something one believes in, such as reasons that are religious, political, racial, and environmental.
