Classification Paper
There are a few situation comedy plots in the television industry that I have noticed that are over used. Maybe it's because the writers get bored, their salary got a cut or because they meant to put in such classic scenarios. For example there is the plot where it's someone's birthday, and everyone pretends not to notice, there is the plot where some one has a secret admirer, and there is the plot where someone accidentally overhears something. In the first plot it is someone's birthday and the character is really sad because no one is remembering, but at the end of the day they throw a surprise party. This is the most over used one of all. Though, recently I have noticed that some writers are trying to put a spin on the old tale. It starts out as the character being happy because it's their birthday.
