Decisions “Everyday Use”, written by Alice Walker, tells the story of tow sisters disputing over the ownership of old quilts. The conflict between the sisters begins when Dee comes back after college demands the quilts, which were promised to Maggie. Both sisters possess different personalities, which often clash with one another. Throughout the story their differences and true motives for wanting the quilts are shown. Maggie’s personality can be described as very sweet, introspective, and considerate.
