Game Day Thousands of drunken people yelling and cheering “Go Hawks”. This can be heard about every two minutes along with degrading comments about the opposing team. Beer bongs that range from a little ninety nine cent gas station funnel with a hose to a two story work of art are everywhere. It’s game day and it’s down on Melrose Ave. Walking through the crowded parking lots on the hot and sunny day that’s perfect for the festivities found at the tailgates. People sitting in lawn chairs, grilling out hamburgers, playing catch, and of course the obnoxious drunks who start to talk shit, so to speak, to the opposing fans. The atmosphere is almost unexplainable. It may just be the feeling of being drunk by nine in the mourning maybe with little or no sleep the night before, but it seems like more than that. Everyone walks around with large friendly, smiles on their face and talk to everyone that comes their way.
