Greed and creed

The two stories “The Way to Rainy Mountain” and in it Momaday retells a traditional story about seven sisters and their brother who tries to kill them and awkwardly resulting in his sisters to become the stars and form the big dipper. In the story of “Coyote and the Buffalo” there are many differences, and similarities that are comparable. Some comparisons are relating to the qualities of some characters, and the transformations that occur in the stories. The main comparison in the story, “From The Way to Rainy mountain” has another story that was a legend by the Kiowas, that N. Scott Momaday tells. Its about eight children who were playing, seven sisters and their brother. Then the boy was struck dumb. The boy had turned into a bear and he chased after his sisters, then the sisters came to a stump of a great tree, and the tree spoke to them, the tree asked them to climb it and they started to rise into the air, the bear wanted to kill them but they were to high, it reared against the tree and score the bark all around with its claws.
