Jane Eyre Comparison between Mr Rochester and St John Rivers
In the novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, there are two key male figures in Jane’s life. Mr. Rochester is her employer and, ultimately her husband. St. John Rivers is, at first, just a kind minister. ... Throughout the novel, Jane interacts with these figures in various situations. But in all these predicaments, Mr. Rochester seems to express his opinions and feelings more readily than St. John. As in the example of Jane’s artwork, when Rochester first sees it, he immediately tells her that he thinks that it is copied from somewhere.
