1) The function of FeCl3 is to speed up the reaction, by being the catalyst. A change in the amount of FeCl3 used wouldn’t have made a difference in the amount of oxygen gas collected because all mass is conserved during the reaction, so in the end, the amount of FeCl3 consumed will be taken into account when doing the calculations, hence if there was a difference, it would be factored in.
