Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), an anxiety disorder, is a potentially disabling condition that can persist throughout a person's life. The individual who suffers from OCD becomes trapped in a pattern of repetitive thoughts and behaviors that are senseless and distressing but extremely difficult to overcome. OCD cases can range from mild to severe, but can ultimately destroy a person's ability to function at work, school, or home if severe and left untreated, OCD is not the ordinary "double-checking" that all of us do from time to time.
