The most tragic experience in Caroline’s life was the death of her uncle. Her uncle was like a father to her, he was her father’s brother and raised her while her parents resided in the country of Korea. She moved here to the United States to achieve a better education and to experience better opportunities in life. It was so nice for her aunt and uncle to welcome her with open arms and raise her like their own daughter. However, the last couple of years growing up with her uncle was not so pleasant like the old days. Her uncle’s business closed down and she noticed he totally isolated himself from everything. He never had a smile on his face and started using alcohol as a substitution to his happiness. The next thing you know her uncle had turned into a raging alcoholic. She had told me it was unbelievable to see a man such as her uncle to turn into an alcoholic.
