Glass Research Paper INTRODUCTION: Glass is a man made product, from natural raw resources, yet is a product that can be recycled easily and economically without using significant raw resources. Glass has been around for thousands of years from the time of Romans. The world must learn to conserve and throw glass away properly otherwise it will help hurt and damage the earth. The process of making glass can be time consuming and very expensive. Organizations all over the country have tried to find solutions to the glass recycling problems. The recycling process of glass and how it should be done has had a major impact in our communities and all over the world. But there is still a lot that can be done to solve the problems that glass has caused over the years. ... RECYCLING PROCESS Today glass making is much the same as it was when the Romans started glass making. When the production of glass starts it always begins with silicates (various types of rocks, minerals and asbestos) and very high temperatures. Before recycling waste materials became an ecological necessity people who worked with glass always reprocessed their glass. Glass is an easy material to reuse because it is mainly silicates and can continually be recycled. Glass is one of the best materials to work with in the recycling process.
