hiI watched the play Bat Boy at the hippodrome theater in Gainesville on November 10. The play is based on a story reported in the supermarket tabloid, Weekly World News. A half-boy half bat creature is found living in a cave in West Virginia. Taken to a small town nearby, he is adopted by the local veterinarian and raised as a "normal" boy. Bat Boy is happy with his new life, but when he naively tries to fit in, even falling in love with the veterinarian's daughter, the narrow-minded townspeople turn on him.
