1.1 Tom Monaghan is the innovator and founder behind the Dominos pizza chain. ... With $500 in his pocket, Tom alongside his brother joined forces and opened a pizza delivery store in Ypsilanti, Michigan. ... A year later, Tom traded his Volkswagen Beetle for his brother’s share of the store and later renamed the business Domino’s Pizza. ...
