He gives scientific accounts and background on the subject to develop one side of the argument which states, “neurogenetic determinism is the modern version of the preformation idea” (Gregersen 66). ... In the context of neurogenetic determinism, this implies that the genetic code which is intrinsic to each human being determines his or her life. ... In the end, he believes that “we have the free will to do this (teach qualities to genetically impaired children) and can overcome the power of neurogenetic determinism” (Gregersen 71).
