cather in the rye

“No, I’m not insane!” “It’s all the phonies that are insane, not me!” Those are the words of an insane person in denial. Insane people usually say that they aren’t insane even though they are. They might not think that they are insane, but there are signs that they show that could possibly hint that he or she is insane. Possible hints could be that they act differently, dress differently, or even act differently. An insane person can’t always tell that they are insane and that there are problems with themselves. They can’t really tell from their actions as much as other people that will notice the differences in the person. Instead, they think that there are problems with the people around them. A person can get insane by a ton of things. Usually it’s pressure or too much work. Their problems cause them at times to act a little crazy and they show many signs. After a while, the problems get worse and worse. A person who is insane will need help or they can do much harm. They can harm themselves or any other people around them if it isn’t cured or if they don’t receive any help. In the story of The Catcher in the Rye, the main character is insane. The character’s name is Holden Caulfield and there are many problems with the kid. At the beginning of the book, Holden is in a mental hospital. If he weren’t insane or didn’t needed any special help, then he wouldn’t be in the hospital. It is visible that he is crazy and insane. Holden is a nice boy, but he has too many problems. He shows many signs of being insane. Holden doesn’t care about anything that happens, he has crazy dreams, and he hates everything. Holden is a sixteen year old boy. Also, there are other signs that Holden has problems. Holden has a broken communication link between himself and the rest of the world. He has a desire to have things stay the same. He wants to protect kids from getting older and from losing their innocence. He starts losing touch with everyone, and he can’t accept the imperfect world that he’s in. He has many dreams and he pretends to be shot at various times in the book. He doesn’t think too logically at times. Holden is already showing signs of being insane. First of all, Holden doesn’t care about many things and really doesn’t care about any future that he may want to have.
