Is violence inherent in religion? What this question is asking is more along the lines of do all religions create violence or is it something inherent in the person. In this paper we will discuss this idea as well as see if it is better to have “faith” as opposed to “Religion.” Then we will look at religious valance in history and look at one of the major religions in the world that has never created war or violence and see how they were able to do such and still spread their message and convert new members. ... First of al we will look at the word “religion.” For this paper religion is an institution that has a belief structure, organization of governing itself, a hierarchy of members, holy symbols and objects and a system of what is right and wrong. A religion is like Christianity, Judaism, or Buddhism. ... When it expands out then it becomes a religion with a common belief system and rules and regulations. My argument will be two fold, one violence is inherent in religion and two people should have faith not religion. ...
Due to the content of the beliefs Religion is created violent attitudes to other religions because of the fact that all religions teach that theirs is the right religion. ... Religions leaders told uneducated commoners that it was their duty to rid the land of the vermin of other religions, now weather or not the religion is based on peace and love doesn’t matter as long as all of it’s teachers and leaders teach hate and misunderstanding. ... Soon you have a religion going around telling other people about it and how great it is.
