What is the Macro environment?
The macro environment is the external environment in which a company (in this case Airtours) operates i. ... Unlike the micro environment over which a company has some degree of control, the Macro environment is ever changing and covers all the major sectors of activity in society (political, economic, socio-cultural, technological.) Airtours is a multinational company therefore, for the purpose of this report; I will concentrate the local political environment on the Head office in Rochdale. Due to the size of the organisation I could find very few cases of the local political environment affecting Airtours. Due to the relocation of Airtours Head office in November 2000 from Helmshore to Rochdale and the transfer of over 1,000 jobs the following points must be considered:
