In verses, 24: 18-24, Job explains what he thinks should happen to the wicked, and will eventually happen. Job says they should be punished and remembered no more and he expresses confidence that God will eventually take the wicked away. Job concludes with a challenge in verse 25, to show where he has spoken falsely. The background of the time period of which Job was written creates a better understanding and interpretation of the Book. Job is unique, but not isolated.
