nothing new
Martin Gottfried’s essay “Rambos of the Road” states, “It seems to me that it is a new America we see on the road now. It has the mentality of a hoodlum and the backbone of a coward.” I believe that Martin is wrong in his statement. America has always had the “mentality of a hoodlum with the backbone of a coward.” From its European ancestors to its current inhabitants, America has always been full of “cowards”.
