Bernini Appolo and Daphne
Apollo and Daphne 1622 – 1625 After Bernini had completed his sculpture of The Rape of Persephone, he immediately began construction of his Apollo and Daphne in 1622, as it would become the last work commissioned by the Borghese family. This work of art by the great Bernini was created for Cardinal Scipione Borghese, and became recognized today as one of his most notable works.
