- Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are sent away to a Professorˇ¦s house from London because of the air raids in a war. The old professor is single and he is a strange man, but also very kind. When those four children have finished their dinner and gone up their bedroom, the talk together and Peter decides to explore the house when he next day comes and everyone agrees with him. After they have finished their breakfasts in the rainy morning, they start to go around in the house and Lucy has hound a big wardrobe in an empty room. She looks inside the wardrobe and walk into it. She stretches her arms out and tries to reach the back of the wardrobe but she canˇ¦t. As she goes on she sees light and finds out she is standing in a wood covers with white snow. She starts to explore in the wood (she is not really scared because she knows the safe wardrobe is behind her).
