In reading the book The Vine and the Branches, I felt a conformation of this concept of “family” and its importance in the Church yesterday, today and tomorrow. ... Mentoring others was critical to growing the branches from the vine. ... The branches extended and multiplied through this process of raising up others. ... All of a sudden the vine had sprouted so many branches that an arbor had to be erected, one designed to provide for the offshoots. ...
