Safe Skies As life goes on, we, as a nation, learn to accept the good as we protect ourselves from the evil. No matter how hard we try, however, bad things will happen. In order for us to remain united and powerful, we must learn from the hardships that may take place in our lives. On September 11, 2001, our country was invaded. These invaders used our airports and airplanes to inflict panic and havoc throughout our country. In response to these events that took place on September 11th, airline security is tighter than it ever has been in the United States and all over the world. Airports must take more precautions. Under Federal regulations, airlines are responsible for the security check of passengers and their carry-on baggage at departure gates.
