Europe as a continent is a very important one so is it its history. When we talk about Europe and its people we talk about one of the most important civilizations in the world. European history of medieval and early modern periods is a very important one. According to Rice “Medieval scholars has divided history into an Age of darkness and error and age of light and truth… from the creation to Incarnation and from Incarnation to the last Judgment.”1 That is the way medieval Historians saw history and we will see why. On the other hand also according to Rice we have “humanist historians” who “drew two sharp chronological lines rather then one”2 and that is” The first line divided antique, or ancient history, from the period humanists now named for the first time, the “’dark ages. ... “3 The historian way that these two groups of people saw the world is the biggest difference that distinguishes medieval world from early modern world
