Internet Accessability Who draws the line and what can be done
Internet Accessablilty Back in high school I was a part of the Digital Safari, a multimedia based program which included science, english and history classes. I remember when I applied and got accepted, I had to have my mom sign a paper consenting that I had unlimited access to internet and all it had to offer, but was likely to be punished or kicked out of the academy if I visited pornography, hate, narcotic, bombs, or any sort of vulgar webpages. ... Why arent the internet providers siding with parents in keeping values and morals? ... I believe that schools need and should have computers with internet to help students with their academic studies. ... I myself am an internet browser, and I use it for almost everything and anything. ... The internet is a world built right into your computer. It all sounds great, but in school, unlimited access to the internet may sound wonderful, but has its downfall. ... The internet providers dont really care, all they are after is making money, so who draws the line? If we want to pull the wool over kids eyes, but the internet keeps tugging at it, who says what is acceptable and what is not for a school environment? The solution is to have unlimited access to internet in schools which consists of educational information.
