Propaganda, Manipulation and Deceit
I look at this picture and can’t help but to feel lucky yet incredibly guilty. Open my kitchen cabinet and you will find an abundance of food, half of which will probably be thrown out. Open my closet and you will find shelves, racks and boxes overloaded with fashionable clothing, some worn, and others forgotten like last season’s fashions. A child barely clothed, famished and desperate would never even dream of a life such as mine. These children simply struggle to survive, sadly, many won’t. Canada claims to be helping out but a claim is all it seems to be. The time and aid that we are donating appears to be very selfish and mostly for the benefit of Canada, donating money simply to avoid feeling guilty. After visitng the “Papillon Butterfly 208” website I decided to do a little extra research. What I discovered is that Canada as a country seems to believe that we are doing the best we can to help third world countries, when really we aren’t doing nearly enough.
