Diversity
Diversity unites us all. In order to keep a practical view on the world, it is necessary that you realize the number of different cultures and religions that flourish upon it. Even within these various cultures, however, each person is an individual with separate beliefs and values. In America, the “melting pot” of the world, college students are faced with the opportunity to meet young men and women from all racial and economic backgrounds. The friendships that result from these meetings are both enlightening and enjoyable. On my first day of college, I stepped into the student center to see the first hint of color I had seen in three months.
