I chose this movie because it had a very high impact on the way I now view the Chinese culture, the women and the men. I had not very much exposure to it before. I have heard similar stories but it is not the same as to view them. This movie /book narrates the story of four women’s and their daughters. How they lived in China and what made them view life the way they do. The women “depend” on the male so they fret to lose all the commodities that he gives them so they do not stand up for their rights.
