Governmental structures and state systems changed greatly and increase the quality of life for the people of china between the time of the Bronze age through the Imperial age. Although many dynasties may have been unsuccessful and short lived, they were all a building process to create a civilized working government that may not have been perfect but defiantly improved from it’s predecessor. The Shang dynasty, the first full fledged dynasty, began an almost 2000 years of continual varying religion, philosophy, and governmental control of states. The Shang arose during the Bronze Age in northern China. They based their society on newly arising bronze technology, chariot warfare, and social separation. ... The Shang amassed large armies complete with bronze weaponry and chariots for the defense and expansion of their state. ... Lords often acted as an almost parental role to the peasants and provided for their welfare, which differentiated them from that of the Shang. ... C the Zhou dynasty fell to non-Chinese tribes, but a newly established kingdom arose east of the Yellow River Valley, the Eastern Zhou state was created. ...
