The teachings of the Buddhist and Christian religions regarding ‘violence, war and peace’ aim to ultimately reach one goal, and this is associated with the promotion of peace. For Buddhists, it begins the inner peace of Nirvana, while for Christians it is the peace with the union of God. Both lead to the peace between ourselves and those with whom we share this world. Here it is evident that there are similarities and differences shared between the teachings of the two religions, in the strive for peace.
These diversities and similarities of ethical teachings are a direct result of the differences of the religions and their forms of belief, practice and worship. ...
