Goal 1. To compare the environmental effects of present-day production technology, future probable technology and future optimistic technology of multicrystalline grid-connected PV-modules . 2. To assess the energy pay-back time of multicrystalline grid-connected PV-modules. 3. To identify options for the reduction of environmental effects from the considered multicrystalline grid-connected PV-modules. Scope Functional unit 1. 1 m2 cell area of multicrystalline grid-connected PV-module. 2. 1 m2 module area of multicrystalline grid-connected PV-module located in the Netherlands with an irradiation of 1000 kWh/m2.
