XY matrix
The XY Matrix is a useful diagram that analyzes the importance and possible causes of some problems that occur during the manufacturing process of a product. It can help identify an area of focus for the FMEA as well as be used by a project team to identify the initial factors for a design. It is made up of a Y row as well as an X column, which are essentially the cause and effects of such a combination. The Y row is made up of possible output variables that are affected from the possible situation of the X variables.
