The film starts with a flashback where the main character Tom returns to the place where he, his sister and his mother lived together, the appartment was empty and it seemed as there would have never lived somebody. ... The film is not 100 % chronologically to the book, the beginning is different, most of the text is slightly different, neverthenless is it the nearly the same like the book 3. In the film the glass menagerie are the main characters the son Tom Wingfield, the mother Amanda Wingfield and the daughter Laura Wingfield.
