The movie Iris staring Judy Dench and Kate Winslet as Iris is all about Iris’s life as she find she has Alzheimer’s disease, that causes her life and self to undergo change. To show change many visual affects have been used including the use of flashbacks to show Iris’s mental deterioration. Throughout the movie Iris has undergone a change in self which has been shown through the use of flashbacks which show Iris as a young women and then pass back through time to show her as an older women, the flashbacks serving to juxtapose Iris to show the change she has undergone. In one scene Iris is seen to be a young woman full of life, in this scene she is writing her book.
