Most people are not public speakers. Yet as we practice public speaking we become familiar with the act of standing in front of people and speaking, either from a prepared text or "off the cuff' in an unprepared speech. It is the same for writing. When we begin as writers, we take more time to form into word our thoughts. As we practice our writing, it becomes easier to write our thoughts onto paper.
