Operation Iraqi Freedom

... To many of us, this past war, or should we say “operation,” came as quite a surprise. ... During these past weeks, I have been especially surprised at the way that Iraqi soldiers have retaliated with our troops, the decisions and involvement of countries that were thought to be our allies, and the fact that people in the United States would so strongly protest the war when soldiers were actually fighting for their freedom overseas at any cost. ... This method of human demolition used by the Iraqi troops is completely inhumane. ... Since we are fighting for a right, and noble cause –to restore much-needed freedom to the people of Iraq and help them create a representative government through which their voices can be heard-I thought that we would have the support of certain countries. ...
Finally, the last thing that came as a huge shock to me was the fact that people in the United States would so strongly protest the war when soldiers were risking their lives overseas to assure our safety and freedom.
