Partial Birth Abortion
Partial birth abortion has been debated over many years. This type of abortion is performed in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Some groups are for partial birth abortion, moderate religious and right to life groups are against it, and even Congress has passed a ban against it. ... The National Organization for Women support the right for a woman to have a partial birth abortion. The National Organization for Women believe it is a woman’s right to choose this type of abortion. ... They also claim that a woman’s body is her own and that she has the right to a partial birth abortion if she wants it. They feel that with the new ban in effect, that women will resort to other measures of abortion. The National Organization for Women say that with the new partial birth abortion ban, women will take whatever measures possible to get an abortion, even if it involves going to illegal abortion clinics to have the procedure done.
