Specialists Of All Kinds Are Highly Overrated

It's true that we need generalists who can provide broad perspectives. However I disagree with the portion of the "Specialists of all kinds are highly overrated" statement.

Specialists are persons who take care of certain tasks or specific area of whatever the case may be. These persons contribute more time and effort than those with general titles. The specialists are the ones who can tell or give the client more details on what is happening to them. The generalist can only give broad ideas that can be a number of things. The specialist narrows the ideas down to the specifics .For example if one goes to a "general practitioner doctor" for pains in the chest area, the doctor may only be able to tell the patient that the problem may be heart burns, or something else that's not so serious, depending on the symptoms. If things get worst, the generalist won't be able to help out a lot. In that case, the general practitioner doctor would have to refer the patient to a cardiologist or some other specialists for further examination to make sure that it won't get any worse. The point I'm making is those specialists are people who can help us out even more that our generalist. Also the facts that one would go to a specialist are people who can help us out even more than our generalist. Those who would go to a specialist are usually in dire needs. Without help from a specialist, one will not be able to find a way out.
