Furthermore the history of video games has also been included with the hope of aiding the understanding of the enhancement of video games in general. Most likely video games of today would not be in existence if it were not for a student of technology by the name of Steve Russell - his interest in science fiction led him to create a game titled ‘Space War’ in 1962. By the end of this decade, the interest of playing video games grew amongst people; this increased interest soon built a new world, the world of arcades and by the seventies, video games could be played at home (Oxford, 2001). The history of video games can be divided in different generations: “The Games Begin” First Generation Systems (1972-1977) - one of the video games that dates back in history and is remembered as one of the first games is Pong.
