Importance Of Teachers and the need for more Hispanic teachers in our community
Teachers make extraordinary contributions to the communities in which they live in and, therefore, are helping our entire country. We give our teachers a great responsibility: to shape the minds and hopes of todays youth . ... Compared with many professionals, teachers are underpaid and overworked.Teachers routinely handle 24 to 30 students. In middle and high schools, teachers are responsible for 150 or more students each day. Few teachers enter the profession expecting to earn a great deal of money, as the pay does not reflect their skills. ... Teachers accept their jobs as a mission and a calling, not just jobs. ... For that, we have our teachers to thank. In our quest to improve our countrys education, we must remember our teachers and let them know how much we value their contributions.That is exactly what I am doing tonight,thanking all teachers in general.I believe that when teachers, parents, educators and the entire community come together to strive for excellence,excellence is achieved.
