Effects of child Abuse

Child abuse has long been a major problem in our society. Over the years the severity of abuse inflicted on children has lead to the passing of laws, that protect children from abuse. I’m first going to focus on is the Laws that protect children from abuse. Secondly, I will explain the effects of physical abuse on children and why parents or care givers abuse children. The third major issue I am going to write about, is the effect of sexual abuse on children. I will explain the long term effects on both male and females after they have been victimized and how they find ways to cope with the abuse.

While on the other spectrum some adults feel that any type of physical punishment is a form of abuse and should not be done at all. ...

Some adults feel that physical punishment such as spanking or slapping is acceptable because it instills respect into the child. Parents or care givers hit their children because they are frustrated with something the child had done. Meanwhile on the other end spectrum, some adults feel that any type of physical punishment is a form of abuse and should not be done at all. For example, a child having temper tantrum in the presence of a parent that believes in physical punishment would not hesitate to quiet the child with a slap across the face.
