I think Churchill was smart by using this tactic because he had a background in it many people probably weren’t thinking about submarine warfare. On May 10, the day the Germans launched their surprise invasion of Holland and Belgium, Chamberlain resigned and King George VI asked Churchill to be prime minister. To me this shows Churchill has shown leadership abilities to other people and he is a very good leader.
