The Orange County Fire Authority is responsible in providing services to two million people in 22 Orange County cities. OCFA has 60 different fire stations and an Emergency Command Center Dispatch. In the year 2001 the Fire Authority responded to 73,127 incidents. A Board of Directors composed of 22 board members, with the Fire Chief, governs the Fire Authority and Executive Staff make the decisions needed to run the organization. The OCFA has an annual budget of 120 million dollars. OCFA is composed of 1300 employees broken down into four hundred support staff and nine hundred Operation personnel (Firefighters).
