Winston Smith is the main character in George Orwell’s nightmare novel, 1984 and he changes during the course of the novel. ...

Winston’s physical appearance changes. In the beginning, Winston Smith was portrayed as “A smallish, frail figure, the meagreness of his body merely emphasised by the blue overalls which were the uniform of the party.”
